How to Write Designer Resume

If you are an experienced graphic designer, then you probably know how to craft a designer resume. But if you are a fresher, and just passed out of art or graphic designing school, then you probably need a little bit of knowledge no the art of designing a designer resume, that may help you get your dream job in the sector. As a graphic designer, you have a lot of options to choose from, and new positions are emerging everyday. There are publishing houses, newspapers, television, advertising, and even the fashion industry that has a huge demand for graphic designers. So you might be exalted to know that the earning potentials are huge if you can manage and gather at least a few months of industry experience before applying for a position in an A-listed company.

But crafting a good resume is also equally important. Start as usual by providing your basic data like contact information, personal details like phone number and email, and move to the other details. State clearly what post you are applying for. But to do this you yourself must be knowledgeable enough. Follow this up with your academic qualification. A graduate degree in fine arts and great knowledge in computer softwares like Photoshop and CorelDraw is going to give some added advantages over the others. Also give a brief note on your work experience and the kind of projects you have worked on in the past. If possible show them some examples that you have gathered as newspaper or magazine cuttings. Besides, also make a great portfolio with sample of the art work you have done. Make sure to keep arts of different styles and genres, as it will showcase your proficiency in these departments.
